LONG ISLAND HEADLINES
  • Greatest risk for heavy rain this morning is Suffolk County.
  • Dry for some today, but scattered storms will bring 1-2 inches of rain in short periods of time.
  • A pop-up afternoon t-storm can bring damaging wind, but these move through fast.
  • BIG RELIEF low humidity & pleasant mornings to start the week.
TODAY: Sun & Storms
Potential for heavy rain from slow moving downpours this morning. Then a mix of sun and clouds and humid. A pop-up storm is expected in the afternoon, but it will not rain everywhere. Be alert for lightning and wind damage. Highs near 90. Feels like near 95.
MONDAY: Ample sunshine.
Comfortable and sunny with highs in the low 80s.
TUESDAY: Refreshing!
Morning temperatures in the 60s, and our lowest humidity in weeks! Highs near 80.
WEDNESDAY: Another stunner!
Plenty of sun and incredibly comfortable in the morning with temperatures in the 60s early then mid 80s in the afternoon.
THURSDAY: Hot & humid
Mostly sunny and warmer. Highs in the mid to upper 80s.
Friday & Saturday: Extreme Heat
Temperatures will soar into mid and upper 90s and could feel like 100. Pop up downpours return to the forecast for next Saturday and Sunday.
