Though the Bronx High School of Science robotics team didn?t win at the Robotics Championships in Atlanta, Georgia, members say they had tons of fun competing.
This was the first year the Sciborgs competed against students from around the world. The team won a few matches early on, but as the competition got fierce its robot experienced technical difficulties. After a few repairs, the team managed to finish in 29th place in their division during the preliminaries. Though more than 80 teams competed, the Bronx team wasn?t able to move on.
The Sciborgs say they enjoyed competing and even picked up a few pointers from other schools. The students hope that the knowledge they gained this year will help them make it back to the championships next year.
