Some boat owners along Freeport's Nautical Mile keep their vessels in the water until the yearly holiday boat parade, and this year was no exception despite the rainy weather.
Boat owners decked their docks and vessels with holiday lights for the Freeport Nautical Mile Holiday Boat Parade. Spectators braved the frightful weather along Randal Bay to view the show.
And for those who watched the parade from their actual boats even got to see holiday displays on the homes that line the canal.
"The people have their backyards decorated and they come out and scream and yell," says Ken Tynan, of Baldwin. "It's a happy experience."
And the big guy up north made a special trip down to join in the festivities. Santa says he came down to kick off the holiday season.
