Cold temperatures will continue into Tuesday ahead of a light wintry mix for the middle of the week.
News 12 Storm Watch team meteorologist Sam Augeri says Islip saw a record-cold temperature of 33 degrees on Monday.
Highs Tuesday will be near 40 degrees with breezy conditions making it feel cooler.
There will be a chance of a light wintry mix and rain on Wednesday. Highs will be near 44 degrees.
It will get warmer by Thursday, but there will be chances for showers for the end of the week.
