A beloved Franklin Square elementary school principal is back on the job.
The Franklin Square Union Free School District says Gilbert Torossian returned to Polk Street School on Monday.
Parents were outraged when Torossian went on an unexplained leave of absence, packing board meetings for answers and starting a petition to bring back "Mr. T."
There is still no word on what the leave was about. The school board president had previously told News 12 that state law prevents them from discussing private personnel matters.
