A truck that displayed the Confederate flag along the St. Patrick’s Day Parade route in Bayport was not well received Sunday by the Bayport Chamber of Commerce. Parade director Lenore Ringer Prezioso says the chamber was unaware of the display and immediately removed it when they were notified.

She said the person responsible won’t be able to participate in the parade again and said the chamber was “very embarrassed.” The displayed flag on the back of the truck depicted a hand pulling back the American flag to revel the Confederate flag.
