As they do every Tuesday, a local restaurant was out delivering lunches to hospital workers on the South Shore.

Butera’s in Bay Shore has been delivering free lunches to South Shore University Hospital for almost a year.

The restaurant provided 50 meals today for the hospital’s front-line workers and celebrated National Meatball Day.

“It is hard for the restaurants, but it is something we feel is important, and we feel we have to make room for, and we don’t want to forget,” says Martin Butera.
