Locally owned pharmacies across Long Island say they have not received the orders they have put in for the newest COVID-19 boosters.
Pharmacist Howard Jacobson says he has been waiting over a month and had to turn people away who want to get the vaccine. He says people who are able to get it somewhere else should not hesitate.
National chains like CVS are also being impacted by the vaccine rollout. According to CVS, they are having to cancel and reschedule appointments because they don’t have the vaccines.
CVS says that they will continue to offer appointments that will be honored as soon as the supply of the vaccines come in.
