Long Island will soon see brighter skies with warmer temperatures in the forecast.
Remnants of Helene slowly pass south of Long Island, bringing some extra cloud cover for one more day. Wednesday will be partly sunny to mostly cloudy with a cool feel.
Sunshine returns with a nice stretch of dry and warmer weather through the weekend.
Temperatures will be seasonable with highs near 70 degrees and lows with the mid- to upper 50s for Friday.
The next chance for wet weather could arrive early next week with the passage of a cold front.
