A lightning strike sparked a house fire while a Lawrence family was inside eating dinner, the Nassau fire marshal says.
According to the marshal, there were two adults and two children inside the home at 25 Juniper Circle North.
The fire was mostly contained to the roof, where there was moderate damage.
Fire crews from six departments had the blaze under control in about 20 minutes.
The Village of Lawrence Building Department was at the scene to assess the damage.
The family is currently displaced.
No injuries were reported, but first responders on the scene tell News 12 that one of the family members was brought to the hospital for evaluation.
