Long Islanders bask in warmer weather on Easter weekend

It was a busy day at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow as temperatures climbed into a summer-like feel.
“We’re just having a picnic – enjoying the nice weather, getting some sunburn,” said Danielle Robertson, of Kings Park.
From picnicking to the playground – families and friends enjoyed it all.
“My daughter loves the playground, the slides – she’s so into it, and just to be around all the other kids is very nice for her," said Phillisia Grant, of Elmont.
Others at the park got in some exercise – taking a walk, going for a run or playing some tennis.
“Not playing very well, but the fact I’m out getting some sun and sweating, it’s all good," said Michael Berg, of Oceanside.
