Altice USA, News 12's parent company, unveiled a brand new smart speaker today.

Altice Amplify is an intelligent, high-fidelity home speaker that powers the connected home.

It also includes Amazon Alexa built-in for voice control of smart devices, music playback, and more.

Altice Amplify has crystal-clear sound quality from the Devialet brand.

"Altice Amplify brings audio back to the forefront of consumers' living rooms, taking entertainment to new auditory heights with unparalleled sound while providing simple and seamless control of the connected home," said Co-President and COO of Altice USA Hakim Boubazine.

Optimum customers can get the device for $399. It costs $499 for noncustomers. In addition, the company plans to make Altice Amplify available for Altice One customers for $10 per month.

The smart speaker will be available for purchase later this year.
