Eight people, including six from Brooklyn, have been indicted in connection to a large-scale drug and gun trafficking operation that allegedly distributed counterfeit oxycodone pills and cocaine throughout Brooklyn, Queens and Westchester County.
Attorney General Letitia James said the takedown followed a months-long investigation targeting a network that distributed narcotics and firearms across city neighborhoods.
The defendants are accused of distributing over 5,000 counterfeit oxycodone pills laced with fentanyl, more than a kilogram of cocaine, and three firearms.
One of the accused also faces charges related to a shooting in March at the corner of Dumont Avenue and Hinsdale Street in Canarsie.
Those indicted include:
- John Doe, 30, of Brooklyn
- Jane Smith, 27, of Brooklyn
- James Johnson, 32, of Queens
- Patricia Williams, 25, of Brooklyn
- Michael Brown, 28, of Brooklyn
- Emily Davis, 29, of Brooklyn
- Robert Martinez, 31, of Brooklyn
- Linda Rodriguez, 34, of Westchester County
If convicted, they face prison sentences ranging from 15 to 24 years, depending on the charges.
