Six puppies looking for their forever homes arrived at the Paws of War headquarters in Nesconset on Thursday.
The organization saved the dogs from a puppy mill in Kentucky, where they were abandoned and left in the heat with no food or water.
All of them suffered from dehydration and were covered in fleas.
The dogs are now safe and will remain at Paws of War's facility until they find a home.
