Police are investigating after an out-of-control car slammed into a tree in Medford.
The crash happened on Granny Road and Richard Drive just after 4 p.m. on Monday.
According to police, rescue crews worked to free the trapped driver.
At least three people were hurt and taken to Stony Brook Hospital, police say.
There is no word on their conditions this morning.
