A
Bethpage woman says her world turned upside down when she was laid off from her
job because of COVID-19.
It
was for that reason that Andrea Nagel decided to cook up a way to start a new
business right in the middle of a pandemic. Nagel is known as the “Enlightened
Culinist.”
Nagel,
of Bethpage, is a health and wellness coach. When COVID-19 hit, she lost her
job as a restaurant manager
“So I took a leap of faith, and I said it's now or never, so I started my
business in the middle of COVID-19,” says Nagel.
It was then when she realized that people needed an
education about eating right.
“People need this, people need easy healthy food that is convenient, tastes
good, and what's better than it getting delivered to your doorstep,” says
Nagel.
Nagel says as a culinary wellness coach
she reviews your lifestyle and takes her culinary expertise on the road by
going to people's homes to teach them how to cook and eat healthy.
While making nutritious balanced meals, she also teaches customers basic cooking skills like
slicing and dicing.
Nagel says she'll continue to grow her business by educating, cooking and
helping others create a healthy lifestyle during this pandemic.
