Water Mill woman accused of driving drunk with child, crashing into pole

A Water Mill woman who crashed into a pole on Tuesday night is facing DWI and child endangerment charges.
Southampton police say they received a call reporting the accident at Flying Point and Seven Ponds roads around 9:28 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers found Shannon Priest with a child under the age of 16 inside the vehicle.
They determined the 36-year-old was drunk and arrested her at the scene. The child was turned over to a family member.
Police say Priest was processed and held for morning arraignments.
