Neighbors on Central Avenue in Farmingdale say they are living with the sound of engines revving and cars racing nearly every night.

As News 12 previously reported, Suffolk County police arrested nine people and impounded 12 cars in July following a street takeover on Central Avenue.

But neighbors say the activity has continued.

One woman, who wanted to remain anonymous, reached out to News 12 after sharing a photo showing her home’s address posted on Instagram. She says the post claimed people would be paid to do doughnuts outside her house.

“Pure terror, I have no idea what to expect in the coming days,” she said. “It’s one thing for the normal group that’s over here. They know where I live. But to publicly put it out there, the car community is large. There are thousands upon thousands of kids in the group.”

Police say they are investigating.
