say a Wantagh man has been arrested and is accused of assaulting a police
officer.
News 12 has been told
officers responded to a "family disturbance" on Red Maple Drive
around 1 a.m. Sunday.
Police
say when they arrived, 24-year-old Tristan Persaud was being restrained by his
family.
While
in custody, police say he kicked an officer in the face.
The
officer was treated for bruises to his face and blurred vision, but is
expected to be OK.
Persaud is now facing assault
charges.
