Suffolk police: Pedestrian seriously injured in West Babylon crash

Detectives say it happened around 9:45 a.m. while Sean Brown, of Seaford, was crossing Little East Neck Road near Great Neck Road.

Suffolk police say a pedestrian was struck and seriously injured by a car in West Babylon on Saturday morning.

Detectives say it happened around 9:45 a.m. while Sean Brown, of Seaford, was crossing Little East Neck Road near Great Neck Road.

Brown, 51, was struck by a northbound 2024 Mercedes Benz. He was taken to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip to be treated for serious injuries.

Police say the driver from West Babylon was not injured.

Detectives ask anyone with information about the crash to call the Suffolk County Police First Squad at 631-854-8152.
