The State Department has issued a holiday travel alert to Americans heading overseas.
The alert comes at a time when there are a record number of airport travelers and will remain in effect through Feb. 24.
Officials say current information suggests ISIS, al Qaida and Boko Haram continue to plan attacks in multiple regions.
Officials are urging citizens to avoid large crowds like overseas holiday concerts or sporting events.
The increased security measures follow the Nov.r 13 attacks in Paris that killed 130 people.
