After nine days of picketing, the Long Island school bus strike seems to be coming to an end.
The bus drivers, aides, and mechanics union say the strike is on hold after coming to an agreement with Baumann Bus Company.
The union says the workers got a new contract with gains on guaranteed days working and higher pay.
The contract will be go before the workers tomorrow, where they'll decide if they want to vote on it at the end of the month.
Meanwhile, the Rockville Centre and Hicksville school districts have canceled their contracts with Baumann.
The union spokeswoman says in part, "It's unfortunate that we had to stand up and take action against a corporate bully who has no regard for the workingmen and women of Long Island."
News 12 has not heard from Baumann.
