Police say a woman was found dead along the shoreline at a county park in Hampton Bays.

The woman's body was found Friday afternoon at Hubbard County Park by a fisherman who was walking on the beach of Flanders Bay.

Authorities are trying to identify the woman, who is described as a white female approximately 25 to 35 years of age, with short, brown hair and a medium build. She had a small, green flower tattooed on the top of her right foot.

The Suffolk County medical examiner is performing an autopsy to determine the woman's cause of death.
