2 people seriously injured in Huntington Station crash

Suffolk police say the incident began when 56-year-old Marie Fondrose was stopped at a red light on Pulaski Road and New York Avenue.

A crash left two people seriously hurt Friday night in Huntington Station.

Suffolk police say the incident began when 56-year-old Marie Fondrose was stopped at a red light on Pulaski Road and New York Avenue.

A Honda drove up from behind, went on to the sidewalk, struck the side of the vehicle and then crashed into a utility pole around 6:40 p.m.

The driver, 90-year-old George Falkowski and his 92-year-old passenger were both hospitalized.

Fondrose was also treated for minor injuries.
