Truck strikes bridge in Uniondale
There was a major traffic jam in Uniondale after a truck slammed into a bridge. In Chopper 12 footage, you can see the truck crashed into the bridge on Hempstead Turnpike and the Meadowbrook Parkway.

There was a major traffic jam in Uniondale after a truck slammed into a bridge.
In Chopper 12 footage, you can see the truck crashed into the bridge on Hempstead Turnpike and the Meadowbrook Parkway.
It is not clear if there are any injuries.
The accident comes on the day the state is unveiling a new system to prevent bridge strikes.
