There were new headaches Monday for holiday travelers as fog led to big delays at the Westchester County Airport.
According to the FAA, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., departures to the airport were grounded due to low visibility.
According to flight tracker, FlightAware, the airport saw nearly 50 delays and 11 cancellations Monday. Nationwide there were more than 28,000 delays and 1,500 cancelations.
"No one knows what's going to happen," said one traveler. "I'm a victim of the weather."
News 12 spoke with travelers who say they were trying to leave Westchester for days but couldn’t because of the inclement weather.
"We were supposed to land already, but we got a message that the flight was delayed until 4 and then we got another delay until 5:30 and then recently, we got delayed until 8:30," said Kendall LaMantia who is traveling back to Savannah.
