A tractor-trailer carrying frozen poultry went up in flames this morning after its brakes apparently failed and the driver lost control in Fairview.
The Fairview Battalion fire chief tells News 12 New Jersey's Tony Caputo the driver says he lost control after the brakes gave out and the truck began rolling down the steep hill that is Industrial Avenue just off Bergen Boulevard.
The truck then crashed into another vehicle which is believed to have started the fire.
It then hit a building which also caught fire.
Nobody was in the building, or in the car. The truck driver jumped out to safety as it was rolling according to the battalion chief.
No injuries are reported but it's believed the poultry is a total loss.
