Preparations are underway to shore up Long Island’s beaches ahead of the remnants of Hurricane Dorian.
New York State Parks are currently working to protect dunes at Jones Beach and taking other preventative measures to avoid storm damage.

News 12 meteorologists say the storm will move up the coast and arrive late Friday afternoon.
