Members of the New York Islanders scored big for sick children in some Long Island hospitals.
The team held its annual toy shopping spree at the Toys 'R Us in Carle Place. Twelve players, including captain John Tavares and Calvin de Haan were among the players shopping for the children. De Haan brought his girlfriend to help him pick out the cool toys.
Sparky and The Ice Girls were also at Toys 'R Us helping pick toys.
On Dec. 21, the players will deliver the toys to local children in hospitals across Brooklyn and Long Island.
