News 12's Andrew Ehinger shows us a couple of coding toys that may be perfect for young kids in this week's The Download.
Artie 3000 The Coding Robot is a powerful coding education tool. Through Artie's companion app, kids can learn how to code and make Artie draw on paper. Artie has simple downloadable projects but the learning happens when kids adjust them.
Piper Computer Kit takes coding to the next level - because kids actually build their own internet-connected Raspberry Pi computer before they start learning how it works. Then through a simple Minecraft-like game, Piper shows how circuitry works and how to build controllers. From there, the Piper moves on to simple coding languages.
