Today is the first day of school for students in Norwalk.
The principal of Roton Middle School and the Norwalk superintendent greeted the sixth, seventh and eighth graders as they arrived.
"I'm like a little bit nervous…but I'm still really excited," said student Molly Dolan, who is entering the sixth grade.
“We always take a picture by the sign every year. We're pretty excited,” said Molly's mother Elisa Petit. “Roton's going to be a great school. They've got a great team here so we're excited to have Molly here and are ready for another great year."
After today, it’s only 180 or so school days to go until next summer vacation. Some students said they are not sure they're ready to go back. And some parents say they are looking at back-to-school as a vacation for them.
