Body camera video of Amandeep Singh before and after he was placed under arrest was shown to a packed courtroom.
The video showing what a police officer witness describes as a visibly impaired Singh, not knowing what state he was in and slurring his words
The footage was captured when police located Singh a short time after prosecutors say he was driving the wrong way and killed two 14-year-old boys - Drew Hassenbein and Ethan Falkowitz.
Edward Supone, Singh's attorney says, "the problem was he was not read his rights yet in custody and subjected to an interrogation."
Singhs defense attorneys are hopeful the video will be suppressed, and there are two other issues that are being heard at this hearing over the next day. The defense team says it is whether he was subjected to a custodial interrogation and whether or not there was sufficient evidence to place him under formal arrest.
Singh has pleaded not guilty to the charges he is facing and previously rejected a plea deal.
