It turns a little bit warmer on Long Island with highs near 70 degrees through Friday. Saturday will be the warmest day of the week with highs in the mid to upper 70s.

A cold front passes by during the day to bring in cooler weather for early next week.

Get ready for a little fall chill by Tuesday. The next chance for rain comes on Monday but any rain looks to be on the light side while the dry weather pattern continues.

FRIDAY: Mostly sunny and nice. A little bit warmer with highs near 73 degrees. Lows near 58 degrees.

SATURDAY: Mostly sunny and warmer with highs near 76 degrees. Partly cloudy in the evening and at night with lows near 55 degrees.

SUNDAY: Nice and sunny. A touch cooler and seasonable with highs near 70 degrees. Lows near 55 degrees.

MONDAY: Partly sunny with the chance of afternoon and evening showers. Highs near 70 degrees. Lows near 52 degrees.

TUESDAY: Much cooler with sun and clouds. Highs near 66 degrees with lows near 48 degrees.
