Suffolk police say the suspect they are looking for in the fatal stabbing in Rocky Point is the victim’s son.

Detectives told News12 on Saturday that 61-year-old Joseph Zoll was fatally stabbed on 30 Quail Road just before 1:30 a.m.

They say 23-year-old Matthew Zoll is now wanted for the killing of his father.

Joseph Zoll was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A motive was not immediately clear as of Sunday evening.

Police ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.

The search for Matthew Zoll continues.
