Suffolk Police: 61-year-old fatally stabbed in Rocky Point

Upon arrival, officers found 61-year-old Joseph Zoll stabbed.

Suffolk police say a man was fatally stabbed in Rocky Point on Saturday morning.
The incident happened on 30 Quail Road just before 1:30 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers found 61-year-old Joseph Zoll stabbed.
Zoll was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Detectives believe the victim and the suspect knew one another.
A suspect had not been identified and no arrests had been made as of Saturday evening.
Gary Diffley lives next door to the victim’s home.
“A nice guy, worked for the post office, kept to himself,” he said.
Details on what led up to the alleged stabbing had not been released as of Saturday evening.
