Suffolk police brought a birthday celebration to a 98-year-old World War II veteran who is now in isolation after fighting, and beating, the coronavirus.

Lew Stiefel is Sy's best friend and organized the birthday party. With a front row seat at his rehabilitation center in Dix Hills, surrounded by his nurses and balloons, Sy was ready for the show.

After Sy was serenaded by officers, he got to enjoy a little cake.

Sy helped liberate the Buchenwald concentration camp during his time in the service.
