Suffolk jails resume visits for the first time since start of pandemic

Visitors must remain socially distant, have their temperature checked, and wear a mask the entire time.

Starting today, visitors will be allowed back at Suffolk jails for the first time since March.
Inmates in Riverhead and Yaphank will be allowed visitors who must follow new guidelines.
Visitors must remain socially distant, have their temperature checked, and wear a mask the entire time.
The visits are also limited to a half hour and all appointments must be made in advance.
