Suffolk County Legislator Rob Trotta removed from Public Safety Committee

Suffolk County Legislator Rob Trotta has been removed from the Public Safety Committee.
The Suffolk PBA and municipal workers unions called for Trotta to leave the position, citing a breach of trust after the legislator claimed to have secretly recorded conversations with Police Commissioner Rodney Harrison.
Trotta is a former Suffolk police detective and has repeatedly accused the union of various campaign-related violations.
In a statement to News 12, Trotta says he will focus his energy on other important issues for his constituents.
