Suffolk County Legislator Rob Trotta has been removed from
the Public Safety Committee.
The Suffolk PBA and municipal workers unions called for
Trotta to leave the position, citing a breach of trust after the legislator
claimed to have secretly recorded conversations with Police Commissioner Rodney
Harrison.
Trotta is a former Suffolk police detective and has
repeatedly accused the union of various campaign-related violations.
In a statement to News 12, Trotta says he will focus his
energy on other important issues for his constituents.
