After another dolphin was discovered dead on a sand bar in Sag Harbor, rescuers will make one last attempt to save the remaining dolphins before it?s too late.Riverhead Foundation President Chuck Bowman says rescuers were able to save eight dolphins Tuesday by herding them out the narrow opening of the creek. Bowman says at this point, the remaining dolphins are swimming slow enough, and probably debilitated to the point where rescuers may be able to use a small net and two small boats to capture them.If the capture efforts are successful, the dolphins will be brought back to tanks at the Riverhead Foundation where they will be nursed back to health. Bowman admits the dolphins could die from the stress of being captured but says the rescue is their last hope.
