A special tribute is in the works for Long Island's high school senior athletes.
Sectional sports directors in both Nassau and Suffolk counties are asking that school stadium lights be turned on Friday night.
It would happened at 8:20 p.m., and scoreboards would read 20:20 in military time to signify the year of the graduating class.
The spring sports season was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
