A man convicted of sexually abusing children in Suffolk County has been arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Federal officials say Jacobo Argueta-Fuentes, of El Salvador, was apprehended in Buffalo.

He was convicted of multiple sex crimes in 2020 and sentenced to six years in prison.

Authorities say the 33-year-old admitted to entering the country illegally over a decade ago.

A judge has ordered his deportation.
