A wonderful Wednesday, with highs well into the 60s away from the coast will give way to a dreary Thursday. Clouds are already moving into the borough this evening, and patchy dense fog will form after midnight. It will keep temperatures a touch warmer, in the upper 40s, but visibility will be a concern outside. Road conditions overnight and for the morning commute will be tricky with visibility under a mile at times.
A bit of mist and drizzle is also expected by the end of the morning, lasting most of the late-morning and afternoon hours before a line of showers and storms arrives. The evening commute should be spared from significant rain. It will be a quick hit of rain between 7 p.m. and 1 a.m., a short six-hour window, with about a half an inch expected in total.
Thursday night's storm will usher in serious wind again on Friday. It will be much colder, too, with highs stuck in the upper 40s but feeling like the 30s. The wind goes down and the temperatures go back up on Saturday, which is shaping up to be the nicer half of the weekend.
Colder briefly on Sunday, giving way to a warmer but rainy start to the workweek on Monday.
