Stop & Shop has lowered prices at every one of its 46 Long Island stores.

The Monday announcement is part of an effort by the supermarket chain to boost affordability and improve customer experience.

Shoppers can expect to see the reductions on customer favorites that they purchase most, including ‘New York’ favorites like pick-your-own bagels from the bakery, Acme Smoked Salmon and Nathan’s Famous hot dogs.

The grocer is implementing the savings as an aspect of the company’s multi-year transformation strategy that involves store remodels, and a better in-store experience.

“With affordability a top priority for families today, delivering meaningful savings with lower prices on thousands of items across our stores in New York and New Jersey marks an important milestone in our broader strategy,” said Roger Wheeler, President of Stop & Shop.

New prices will be easy for customers to spot with yellow tags highlighting the new versus previous price.
