An undomiciled man accused of approaching a group of bicyclists with a firearm was arrested Sunday in East Meadow.

Officers say they responded to a disturbance reported near Meadowbrook Parkway and Front Street around 4:30 p.m.

The investigation determined that three male victims, aged 17, 18, and 19, were left in fear for their lives after the suspect displayed the gun.

The bicyclists fled the scene and called 911 immediately after the incident, according to authorities.

Police say 47-year-old Ramzee A. Mayo has since been charged with criminal possession of a weapon and multiple counts of menacing.

During the course of the investigation, officers also discovered that Mayo had an active Nassau County warrant.

His arraignment was scheduled for Monday at First District Court in Hempstead.
