Stony Brook paleontologist reveals new analysis finds dinosaur with record-long neck

A Stony Brook University paleontologist revealed a new fossil analysis today - identifying the longest neck of any dinosaur unearthed.
Stony Brook University's Dr. Andrew Moore led an international team to new findings for the Jurassic Chinese 'Sauropod.'
Dr. Moore’s work is now published in the Journal of Systematic Paleontology and is providing new insight on the evolution of the iconic dinosaurs body.
The findings conclude the dinosaurs likely had a 15-meter-long neck - which is more than six times longer than the neck of a giraffe.
