A Nassau County judge has resigned over offensive comments he allegedly said to prosecutors and court staff over the years.

The state Commission on Judicial Conduct says Will Allan Hohauser made inappropriate comments to assistant district attorneys even though he was warned to stop.

The commission recommended he never be assigned to a criminal case again.

Hohauser will step down at the end of the year.

He has been a district judge since 2016.
