A St. James father has been convicted of killing his pregnant and estranged wife.
A jury found Michael Owen guilty of second-degree murder.
Prosecutors say Owen used a rope-like object to strangle his wife Kelly in 2020.
The 27-year-old woman was pregnant with the couple's second child at the time of her murder.
Owen will be sentenced in September. He could face up to 25 years to life in prison.
Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
