A doctor at St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center in Roslyn performed the world’s first heart valve procedure using a new tool.
Dr. Jaffar Khan used the new TELLTALE Electrosurgical Guidewire System, which helps in the placement of Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement.
The first patient to undergo the procedure was 77-year-old Maria Stieglitz, of Sea Cliff.
