Multiple sources confirm to News 12 that Rex Heuermann will be charged in the deaths of two additional victims when a new grand jury indictment is unsealed on Thursday.
Sources also confirmed exclusively to News 12 on Wednesday that the wood-paneled walls in the basement of Heuermann's home were removed by investigators.
The accused Gilgo Beach serial killer's new indictment comes following a second search of Heuermann's home in Massapequa Park.
Heuermann is already facing murder charges in the deaths of four of the Gilgo Beach victims.
He has pleaded not guilty to those charges.
News 12 spoke with Joseph Giacalone, a retired NYPD sergeant and John Jay College of Criminal Justice professor about the expected new charges.
Giacalone said "People are going to be shocked, I think even starting tomorrow, things are going to be pretty shocking...I think it's going to end up being one of the most prolific serial killer cases that this country's ever seen."
