Supporters of former President Donald Trump made their voices heard Tuesday near the Bellmore Long Island Rail Road train station.
Some rallied for the former president after Trump pleaded not guilty to 34 charges.
Jay Weinstein, of the Bellmore Patriots, organizes Trump rallies in the area and says even some Democrats he knows are against the legal action.
"I'm even hearing from them that they're totally against this and they're realizing this is all for theater," Weinstein said.
Retired FDNY Firefighter Kevin Calhoun was in New York City earlier Tuesday where he said protests were "relatively calm" with both sides bantering back and forth.
Calhoun says he went to Manhattan because he feels that Democrats are trying to create a one-party system.
The former president pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts of falsifying business records.
